Problem CD/DVD Burning

My system is running on Intel 845GLLY mother board with 2.8 ghz pentium processor and 256 MB of SD ram amd i m using windows XP, Nero to write cd/dvd and octo edge samsung dvd writer.

When my dvd writer was new it was so easy to write cd and dvd without any problems and it did its job within 4 minutes for cd and 6-10 minutes to write dvd. but now it's not working properly most of time it make my computer hang and it stop even my key board and mouse also get jam and i need to restart my pc.

what is the problem and how can i solve it?

If i format my computer then it'll work fine for a while but after some time or after burning 5 or 10 cd dvd again same thing going to be start.

how can i permanently solve this problem

look at task manager while you are burning, is cpu usage maxed out, is ram maxed out?

please post some suggestions and tips, tweaks to get rid of this problem..

I would suggest that you check your CPU temperature. I had the same problem, and when I checked my temperature it was above 70C causing my PC to hang when burning.
