memory usage problem, help.

Hi guys I was just wondering whether this right or not, i've just upgraded my RAM from 2gb to 4gb, now it seems to me that my memory usage has gone up for some reason as i am typing this it says 20 under where it says cached in the task manager and in the green it says 820mb but when i had 2gb installed it rarely went above around 630mb.

so guys is this normal after upgrading RAM or should i have tweaked my system beforehand? thanks. Gary

that is how it works, the more memory you have the more it will use.

the OS wants to use as much as it can so do not worry at all, this is normal.

I second ripken204´s point, normal behavior for Windows Vista and 7.
