Bad sound on win7 64bit

My sound card works in both the 32bit and 64bit versions of xp and in the

32biy\t version of win 7 RC. But in win7 64bit when I play a sound file.

It plays for a few seconds then becomes distorted and then the sound

stops. I'm using the latest drivers from creative as of 7/22/2009.

I found this solution in the creative labs forums which worked for me.

Using msconfig limit memory to 4095MB.

when I go back to 4096 \MB the problem returns

I would agree that this is a driver issue, especially since you say that by changing the amount of memory by 1MB, it will work.

That sure sounds like the driver is having issues with memory mgmt.
