why not enter oobe the first after server 2008 installation

Recommended Posts

excuse me... a basic question

i hope to use reverse integration to integrate .net 3.5 into server 2008

so i want to enter audit mode with shift-ctrl-f3 but...

there's no oobe after i installed server 2008 datacenter!!!

then i use unattend installation with this answer file

Untitled.jpg

but there still no oobe after the first time enter windows

it always prompts for password... not oobe orz

can anyone tell me how to make audit mode/oobe show after installation without sysprep?

BTW, what's the differenence between autounattend.xml and unattend.xml?

need ur help!!! thanks

Autounattend.xml

Autounattend.xml is used for a CD based setup.

Unattend.xml is used for the boot image in a WDS install

Technically, the boot image based setup can use any name for the XML file. Unattend.xml is the best practice name.
