xof
Hi,I'm trying to slipstream IE7 into Windows XP SP2 but upon using the image I always get the following error during setup:Setup cannot copy the file: advpack.mui.Any idea where to start looking? I can see that advpack.mu_ is located in the source I386 folder but I cannot find it under c:\$win_nt$.~bt\i386 so setup doesn't seem to copy the file when installing unattended. tommyp
Any idea where to start looking? You can start by comparing your hfslip.log hotfix list to the stickied post hotfix list. Edited April 1, 2009 by tommyp
xof
Attached you can find my log file. I see that I have a lot more hotfixes then you have in your sticky. Should I clean up my list? Maybe something else from the log that rings a bell? wela
"Should I clean up my list?"This is the first step to get a clean install. Also you have to decide, which Mediaplaer you want to use. There are Hotfixes for WMP 9, 10 and 11. So, Problems are programed. Look at the list and follow her step by step. Have a nice day.
xof
That might be problematic because 'the list' is for SP3 and we're still on SP2...
wela
Where is the problem using SP3?Maybe there is someone outthere, who can send you a list actualized for sp2.But there is also the Problem which Mediaplayer you want to use. MP 9 or 10 or 11?!?
xof
I also saw the MediaPlayer mess but I guess the tool is just skipping them because it all works if I exclude IE7 and its hotfixes.Nonetheless, I'll clean that up.In our environment SP2 is still the standard. Can't change that. Edited April 1, 2009 by xof

tommyp
xof - Does this mean that you will give me your paycheck? Please refrain from using hfslip and do your own job integrating hotfixes. HFSLIP is not the tool you can use. Please obey the licensing, IT people should know better about software licensing. Thread closed.
