leinan Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 hi all i need help on how to properly integrate this update add-on of DirectX 0.6.1 (exe file). thanks!
johnhc Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Sorry, leinan, I don't have a clue what you are talking about. I think the newest DirectX is 10, but the latest for XP is 9c. I use Kurt_Aust's process to integrate it into my XP x64 with this code:%Source%AddOns\directx_aug2008_redist.exe /Q /T:%Temp%\DirectX_9C%Temp%\DirectX_9c\DXsetup.exe /SilentRmDir /S /Q %Temp%\DirectX_9CThis runs out of the RunOnce exit. You need to tell us much more about what you are doing to what, using what. Enjoy, John.
redxii Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 (edited) Use RVM Integrator to add it as an addon.RVM Integrator can add switchless installers in *.exe to svcpack automagically without a entries.ini, and wherever nuhi may be, he can add that later..@johnhc: It's a switchless installer, for my addon: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6010 The size it takes up on a CD is smaller than a true addon (what I had it was previously). I still have a true addon for November 2008 DirectX:http://rapidshare.com/files/161069917/Dire...6.0_-_redxii.7zmd5: 9a29bc758733dbabf2bfc8ae8ded91c1 Edited January 27, 2009 by redxii

johnhc Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 redxii, you need to point leinan to the proper discussion of how to use these addons. I am not a user of RVM packages. leinan, go to the RVM site and look for usage instructions. Enjoy, John.
redxii Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Use RVM Integrator, at least version 1.5, and specify the exe as an addon, that's all there is to it.It can't hurt to download one exe, RVM Integrator, when one is willing to install ~100MB runtimes (.NET Framework) in order to use nLite.
leinan Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 oh i'm sorry john i just thought this could be ask here coz' its nlite related too.
