runLoganrun Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 i have a vista ultimate x86 iso that already has the product key manually inserted into it. i want to vlite this iso and slipstream sp1 into it, i also want to remove a few things and maybe add some drivers.1) if i run this through vlite will it leave the embedded reg key in?2) if i understand this correctly, in order to accomplish the two things i want to do, i first slipstream sp1 into ultimate x86 making new iso. it is only then that i take the new iso i've created and run it through vlite again and this time i am able to remove the components i want and add drivers, creating a second, final iso. also apply question 1 to this. Is this right?thanks!rlr
realm eternal Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 2) Yes, slipstream SP1 into your installation before doing anything else.As for 1), if you have the product key written somewhere (and if it's legal you should), then you can just use vLite to embed the key again.
JatinBeniwal Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 after slipstreming sp1 and if u make it unattended u can insert new key through vlite. also u can remove key after installation also by using slmgr.vbs commands.
