farchumbre Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 hi,I have a thinkpad x300 lenovo laptop with a 64G hard drive. The vista business sp1 original installation takes almost half of the drive.I tried to use vlite 1.2 to reduce the size of vista, but I can't make it work.I tried all directories in the recovery dvd but vlite can't find the installation files ("cannot find the expected files")what are the expected files and where could I find them?Is there anyway I could use the recovery dvd to re install vista using vlite? Thanks,German
jaclaz Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Read this:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=127747&hl=and links therein.Every OEM appears to be using a different method to create recovery disks, if you are lucky one of the methods linked to may apply, otherwise you'll need to search for "specific" lenovo procedure (if it has been discovered/published/posted soemwhere on the net).jaclaz
JatinBeniwal Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 There is no possible way to edit windows vista recovery disc yet. also if there is such possible way activation procedure hide in windows recovery disc get lost as they use oem slp channel to activate.
