Dude111 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 In the SYSTEM32 folder there should be a file called 'OEMINFO.INI' If there isnt, make it using Notepad. ("SYSTEM" directory for 98)Put the following lines in OEMINFO:[General]Manufacturer=(Type here without brackets)Model=(Type here without brackets)And thats it! What you typed will appear in the system properties page under "Computer" To set a picture for the "Manufactured and Supported By:" section, move any picture ending in BMP to the SYSTEM32 folder, then name it "OEMLOGO.BMP". ("SYSTEM" directory for 98)
Mousum Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Thanks but isn't this a bit old?Users have been doing this since win98 times.
CoffeeFiend Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) Actually, Win95 times IIRC. And that's getting quite close to 15 years ago (and like 8 or so versions of Windows back)Besides, a very quick forum search for oeminfo.bmp returns 6 full pages of results (like 150 matches) Edited January 6, 2009 by crahak
