PC_LOAD_LETTER Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 AFAIK, 9x cant do FF3 (if im wrong then just ignore this topic) but if you are running FF2 and can/will upgrade to the final version of FF2, you might want to know this:http://it.slashdot.org/it/08/12/07/1811213.shtmlthought you guys might want to know that upgrading could leave you without phishing protection (though it looks like once google pulls the plug it wont function on any version of FF2)
BenoitRen Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Thanks for the heads-up. Interesting to know. I don't think most users here would need that feature, though.
alexanrs Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Besides, one can always use Firefox 3 with Kernel Ex... but the simple habit of looking to the status bar when hovering a link is enough
PC_LOAD_LETTER Posted December 9, 2008 Author Posted December 9, 2008 yeah my biggest concern was what happens to older builds once google turns the service off? I would assume the it would follow a 'fail-open' kind of policy but you never know.
BenoitRen Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Besides, one can always use Firefox 3 with Kernel Ex...NEWS FLASH: Not everyone here is using Windows 98SE!
marxo Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Well, you can use KernelEx on Windows 95 if you install Windows 95 Shell Update.
