starcraftmaster Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 no use for me as am a win me usersi do have windows vista but my brother dont let me change any settings on that
Nerwin Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Most people use most of those settings. If your system can handle the game, then upgrade.
nitroshift Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 With such dramatic fall in prices I don't see any reasons why not having 4GB of RAM and a Core2Duo (or equivalent) that can handle all default services loaded at start-up to run during games, etc. With the machine in my signature using Vista Business x64, I have NO services disabled or any other tweaks applied and it flies through games, including Crysis Warhead.

It really does help with performance and system responsiveness. Less to start up with, less to hog bandwidth on ram, disk, or to run in the background doing who knows what. Like indexing, and performance monitoring/logging.
