Øsse Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 (edited) Hi,I tried to vLite my vista business x64. I ended up removing to much and couldn't get my network connection working. I installed a clean untouched Vista and wanted to make another iso. When I now try to slipstream I almost immediately after clicking "run file" get a BSOD. I've tried recopying the files from the vista iso (which is legal, I got it from my uni) and redownloading the SP1 installer. I also tried doing the slipstreaming on another harddrive. Nothing helped. The memdump from the latest BSOD is here.Help? Edited October 27, 2008 by Øsse
pallavsuri Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 could be the virus scanner. try switching it off
Øsse Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Yeah I can try, but it was on when I slipstreamed the first time as well.
MagicAndre1981 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 the WIM filterdriver sometimes crashes when a antivirus tool is installed. Please uninstall your one before using vLite
Øsse Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Ok, I'll try that.By the way, I just remembered something. Last time when I slipstreamed, I installed the whole WAIK thingy. This time I only downloaded the files I really need. Could that be a problem? I found this in the dump file:Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\ntoskrnl.exe, Win32 error 0n2*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for ntoskrnl.exeCould that be the issue?
Øsse Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Now I installed the full WAIK, reinstalled vLite and uninstalled avast. Now it works. The problem now is that I have no way of finding out what really was the problem.
