Can anyone explain to me how to find the switches for a program on my own? obviously besides searching these forums or checking online, I would like to know how to do this manually.

The best way I find is type the app in command prompt, then afterward type /?, most of the time it'll show you the switches. Example: test.exe /?

or by identifying the kind of installers by icons (like Inno and NIS setups)
