Chancer Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I want my installation to be equal to the original. I just want to add some drivers and SP3.Can I disable the unattended mode?
mazmorbid Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 (edited) In the Unattended Mode section select Prompt Repair in the drop down menu ..EDIT: Actually if you dont select Unattended it shouldn't give you an Unattended install? Not real sure as I gave up with nLite and did it all the hard way ... Edited August 9, 2008 by mazmorbid
Chancer Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 But if I set "Prompt repair", it will force the "Hide pages" and the setup will "not display the user interface during installation".
mazmorbid Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Whenever I used nLite to get it like the original I used Prompt Repair ...
strotee76 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 You should be able to disable unattended by either deleting or renaming the file, WINNT.SIF.1. Just open a command window (Start --> Run --> "cmd").2. Peruse to your i386 folder in your XP source files.3. Type in "ren winnt.sif winnt.old"4. The installation will no longer be unattended.
