Carbone Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 (edited) I want to be able to install from 6 different XP-Sources plus Vista. Copying of XP-Sources was successful, but when I boot from USB-HDD the menu only shows 3 Sources although there are 6 in the boot.ini.I used Multiboot 10 and formatted a single Partition in NTFS using the HP-Tool.Boot.ini:[Boot Loader]Timeout=10Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS[Operating Systems]multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="2. and 3. wimb Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 The max number of entries in boot.ini Menu = 10When you remove for each source the Second (Attended) entry in your boot.ini file on USB HDD,then you just can manage the 6 sources in your boot.ini Menu.
Carbone Posted July 19, 2008 Author Posted July 19, 2008 Man, you are fast Are there any disadvantages when I delete the "attended"-lines?For the Vista problem I should start a new thread I guess, sorry.
Carbone Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Ok, question is not worth answering it. I will find out myself on next Installations. Thanks anyway for help with boot.ini.
