Sidebar does not show clock, (all black)

Featured Replies

Hi

I took my Sidebar folder from my Vista x64 DVD iso, to Server 2008 X64 and registered the "dll's" and sidebar.exe" everything works fine, except for the clock and few other gadgets dont show properly. My main concern is the clock, it shows all black..

Does anybody know how to fix this.. i have seen people using sidebar on server x64 (some other sites), with clock showing normal the way its on vista..

please help me here

Thank you

Edit: Fixed now, i was running the commands using "regsrv" it should be "regserver"

you must register the dlls, the converter tool will do it or you can do it manually

# regsvr32 sbdrop.dll

regsvr32 wlsrvc.dll

# From that same console run:

sidebar /RegServer

# Move the Sidebar registry information from a working Vista SP1 x64 install. You can find it at HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/SideBar.

# Run sidebar!
