Zollex Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I use the CCleaner registry cleaner (without save backup )... and many programs now don't see the cd-rom... LIKE Nerodrivespeed or Epsxe (an emulator!) How can I fix the problem?
Steven W Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 (edited) You might try removing the CDrom drive from the device manager and rebooting. It should be auto-detected. *Might* fix the issue. Edited June 5, 2008 by Steven W
dencorso Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Restart in MS-DOS Mode.Run SCANREG/RESTORESelect the oldest date available and restore. If you still have one backup from before the CCleaner, all will return to normal. If not, well, you're out of luck: a major reinstall awaits you...Good luck!
SlugFiller Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 LIKE Nerodrivespeed or EpsxeOoh, looks like you screwed up your ASPI layer. That happens alot. Now, let see, there's a compatibility ASPI layer from Adaptec linked somewhere on this forum...Oh yes, it's in this thread. The download link is here.
