June 4, 200818 yr I use the CCleaner registry cleaner (without save backup )... and many programs now don't see the cd-rom... LIKE Nerodrivespeed or Epsxe (an emulator!) How can I fix the problem?
June 5, 200818 yr You might try removing the CDrom drive from the device manager and rebooting. It should be auto-detected. *Might* fix the issue. Edited June 5, 200818 yr by Steven W
June 6, 200818 yr Restart in MS-DOS Mode.Run SCANREG/RESTORESelect the oldest date available and restore. If you still have one backup from before the CCleaner, all will return to normal. If not, well, you're out of luck: a major reinstall awaits you...Good luck!
June 6, 200818 yr LIKE Nerodrivespeed or EpsxeOoh, looks like you screwed up your ASPI layer. That happens alot. Now, let see, there's a compatibility ASPI layer from Adaptec linked somewhere on this forum...Oh yes, it's in this thread. The download link is here.
