nlite addons for WPI

Recommended Posts

Is there any general way to make nlite addons work for WPI?

I've looked in the cabs and saw that they all have ini files and a svcpack folder.

How would the code look like if I wanted to use those in WPI?

I added this as a new topic because it might be of interest to the general public.

hi guy ..... my answer is only for addons that make by original setup ....like addons on http://www.winaddons.com...

you can extract CAB files with a extractor like : 7-zip, winrar and etc.

then get out the setup file from SVCPACK folder ..... then open INI file and find out that what switch is typed after the setup file name ...

for example : ....

this is for 7-Zip

-----------------------------------

[general]

builddate=06/12/2007

description=7z

language=English

version=4.57

website=http://www.7-zip.org/

[EditFile]

I386\SVCPACK.INF,SetupHotfixesToRun,AddProgram

[AddProgram]

7z457.exe /S

------------------------------------

the switch is "/S"

now you can use it in WPI .....

also you can find silent switch installer for other apps from typing "/?' after its file name and run if from CMD .... or use "Universal Silent Switch Finder"

Good luck man :)
