Willieboy
I have nLite 1.4.5 final.Slipstreaming XP Pro upgrade with SP3 in my Vista setup.I did a search but no results.I slipstreamed SP3 onto XP Pro that does not have any SP's slipstreamed into it.First I slipstreamed and make a bootable ISO.Then I tried an unattended slipstream. Both gave Product key not valid. It is a genuine key and the XP CD is the original that I paid for.Would either of these cause the error :-No previous SP's slipstreamed orSlipstreaming it in Vista ?Thanks for any help on this. Netman66
Slipstreaming SP3 onto XP from a Vista or Server 2008 machine causes this. It's a known issue.Do your slipstreaming from an XP box.http://bink.nu/news/don-t-slipstream-xp-sp...dows-vista.aspx

dypsis
I thought this problem was supposed to be fixed with this latest version of nLite.Just one important thing changed, SP3 Slipstream under Vista. It would reject your valid CD-Key. Not my doing but it is fixed anyway. So in order to fix the XP SP3 CD-Key issues remake the Slipstreamed version from scratch with this nLite version.http://www.nliteos.com/
nuhi
Yes it is fixed, on my tests at least.Going to recheck this.btw dypsis, aren't you little too easy on the trigger posting about this all over before you tried it?Works for majority, gotta find out why it did not for some, that is all.Willieboy, are you by any chance slipstreaming into the XP RTM version, without any prior SPs? nuhi
Confirmed. If you are integrating SP3 from Vista then first slipstream SP2 and then SP3, that works fine. I will check if that is possible to skip.
jaclaz
Confirmed. If you are integrating SP3 from Vista then first slipstream SP2 and then SP3, that works fine. I will check if that is possible to skip.Apart from the posted problem, does that mean that somehow SP3 is not "really-really" cumulative? Or is it some "setting" that Vista misses but that are normally set when the "direct" SP3 slipstreaming is done on XP?jaclaz Edited May 13, 2008 by jaclaz
Kelsenellenelvian
Its gotta be Vista because I have done several of XP going from sp0 to sp3 while on XP and they work fine... Edited May 13, 2008 by Kelsenellenelvian
nuhi
It is Vista issue AND only for those who have the issue even with the new version in the first place. For me it works the same RTM to SP3, from XP and Vista.
