Alt + 255 : Terror for Folder Name in Vista

Featured Replies

Hi Vista Users, :hello:

I would like to know that why the the terror of this folder reation by Alt + 255 is coming in vista. I make a New Folder and then named it invisble by pressing "Alt + 255".

Now I'm in trouble that it is not being deleted.

Following is not performed on it:

1. Deletion

2. Copy 'n' Paste

3. Rename

I also tried to delete or rename via Cmd in admin mode but not geting solution. Try to solve...

I rights click "New" > "WinRAR Archive" and dragged the " " (nameless) folder into it and selected "Delete files after archiving".... that got rid of the folder.

Open cmd and navigate to folder

and type

rd "< press ALT+255 >"

it looks like this

rd " "

hit enter and your folder will be removed permanently !
