Instalation from FreeDOS

Does anobody know why exactly can't be Windows 98 installed from FreeDOS? Is there any patch for it?

There is a patch for Windows 3.1 here:

Since the install routine is actually a reduced windows 3.1 (mini.cab) it could work, maybe with a bit of tweaking.

Or are you meaning install (and run) Win9x on Freedos?

As a matter of fact I did install Windows 95 by running the installer from a FreeDos boot disk.
