mara- Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) Hi,Is vLite-ing of x64 Vista possible on x86 XP?Cheers Edited February 5, 2008 by mara-
redxii Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) Yes. The Vista x64 are files like any other. You'll have to test it on a real machine with a 64-bit processor, unless you have virtual machine that happens to support 64-bit guests. Edited February 5, 2008 by redxii
mara- Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) Are you sure, because I think I read somewhere that you can not nlite XP x64 on XP x86 (nLite would process it but installation would not work as it should), so I wanted to check for vLite.Cheers Edited February 5, 2008 by mara-
redxii Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I vLited Vista x64 on XP 32-bit. Unless that's changed since the last time I vLited 64-bit Vista.
mara- Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 OK, thank you for the info. Can anyone tell me is there any post Vista x64 SP1 update so I can slipstream. I know this is not topic but I do not want to create new one because of this.Cheers
nuhi Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Only limitation is that you cant integrate 64bit hotfixes and language packs from 32bit OS as a host.(you could install the 64bit host in a virtual machine and do it from there)Haven't seen any post-sp1 hotfixes yet.

One question for you Nuhi, I loaded Vista x64 SP1 into vLite and in Hotfix page it showed that SP1 and a few hotfixes are already integrated. Is this normal for vLite to show?Cheers
nuhi Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Yes it's normal. Going to filter those out if it proves to be confusing and with no purpose.
