iwod Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Why is it taking so long? And when should we expect it to finally release?
Kelsenellenelvian Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 It has been stated for a LOOOOOOOONG time 1st HALF of 2008 and they are already on rc1 so prolly not too much longer.
Kelsenellenelvian Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Not the Vista thing again...
neo Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Windows Vista is SP3-gosh he is taking about third and final service pack of Windows XP
weEvil Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Windows Vista is SP3-goshI agree. Vista = Windows ME SP3
legionaire Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I agree. Vista = Windows ME SP3I disagree. Windows ME boots like twice as fast as Vista Oh and btw, just keep in mind that for every month SP3 gets delayed so much more hotfixes will be included.
Glenn9999 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 If you can deal with running beta software (i.e. you can deal not having your computer work completely right), Microsoft did release Service Pack 3 RC1, build 3264 publicly. It has a few CPU scheduling issues, I've noticed, which I hope they fix come time for full release. As far as Microsoft goes, I would rather them take their time with this and fix as many of the bugs as possible, given that they are pushing the Vista garbage they have. This will likely be the last service pack.
weEvil Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I would rather them take their time...I agree. Look what happened to Vista. They rushed it and it came out like garbage.Looks like re-writing longhorn, and then rushing to make up lost time wasn't such a great idea.
