how can update latest virus definition
Huh???? What virus definitions; what product??? XP by itself has no "virus definitions". Every AntiVirus software vendor has their own way of updating.

You have provided a Generic Question...

I assume that the topic starter believes that Windows XP comes with built-in anti-virus software, but this is not the case. Microsoft does offer a free anti-spyware application named Windows Defender, but this does not protect against virusses. Windows Defender updates via it's own built-in engine as well as via Windows Update or Microsoft Update. It is advisory to install an anti-virus solution yourself. There are various applications out there which will cost you money, but there are also several freeware alternatives.
