lalitdabas99 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I have tried silent installation of Adobe Photoshop CS but the problem is that the installation automatically calls an exe file which is needed for activation of photoshop. Can this exe file be killed or suppressed ? Otherwise installation does not complete until this exe is cancelled. Similiar is the case for DAP8.5 (download accelerator)Please help.
freish Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I think it can be killed .Then active PS after the installation of Windows
ricktendo Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 If you have a msi editor like orca or installshield you can probably stop the registration window lauching by editing the Custom Action table and creating an MST file
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Or just use the built in command to call taskkill in the second commandline....
lalitdabas99 Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 (edited) can you give me some example for taskkill command Edited November 22, 2007 by lalitdabas99
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 You click on the little drop down box and select TaskKill and then add a space and the proccesses name. How easier could it be?Taskkill.exe /IM Blah.exe....
lalitdabas99 Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 Can anyone tell me what to edit within msi installer so that activation window does not appear while installing Photoshop cs
phkninja Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 look for the name of the exe bieng called, then use the taskkill method abovew or edit the msi to stop it calling the exe when finished (would be a post install option in the msi)
