SeeDent
Hi all,Just bought a Samsung 2232BW 22" with native res of 1680 x 1050, everthing went fine plug and play and installed drivers but when playing any game there is an annoying screen judder, it appears to be the whole screen than jumps / twitches. I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers, tried the old resolution I was using of 1280 x 1024 and replaced the monitor as I was told it could be faulty but still no joy.Spec:MSI K9APL MainboardAMD 64 X2 6000+2GB RAM2 x Sapphire Radeon X1950XTX CrossfireSeagate 250GBSamsung 2232BW
puntoMX
... there is an annoying screen judder, it appears to be the whole screen than jumps / twitches. About what are you talking here? Like the screen is split in 2 images?
nmX.Memnoch
Turn on VSync on the game. LCDs don't have a vertical sync like CRTs do. Sometimes disabled VSync can cause "tearing" on the screen with LCDs.
puntoMX
Indeed, this is why I asked him abut the "split screen look" .He can also force it in the drivers...
SeeDent
No it's not split, and VSync is turned on. It's more like a jolt on the screen that moves the image from left to right slightly but sharply every 10 or so seconds. The games still play like they are working without any graphical problems even when the screen jolts. I thought it was a monitor specific problem and replaced it but that didnt resolve the issue. Has me perplexed ...
PC_LOAD_LETTER
see if you can figure out what refresh rate the game is setting your monitor to. Perhaps the monitor doesnt agree with that refresh rate and is trying to do an autoadjust/autoalign.
