Ports Open

I have tiny personall firewall installed. Xp firewall disable, so why when i run a test in dsl reports always says me that ftp port is open and telnet.....i even disable telnet in services......any ideas??

try running ZoneAlarm and see if that makes any difference, it may be a setting in Tiny PF.....

i haved za pro and still the same ports open

before tiny firewall y had ZA pro and still get the same response, so i change to tiny and things still the same any idea????

Try activating the built-in Windows Internet Connection Firewall, run it in tandem with Sygate (I've done that before they will work together) then take the port scan test again.

i enable xp firewall and still get the same ports open...FTP and telnet......

mmmmmmmm yes, grokster, but is not always on....is not use on a daily basis, when i need to look for something i run it then close it

yes....right now i'm using just trillian......besides that dont think there is anythinng connected to the net that i know

That is the only other suggestion I could think that would help you close your ports. I know when I set zonealarm pro to the maximum settings and use the dslreports port sniffer, it shows all ports blocked.

so, make sure you have ZONEALARM set to maximum security.
