Xp firewall disable, so why when i run a test in dsl reports always says me that ftp port is open and telnet.....i even disable telnet in services......any ideas??Athlon800256RAMno networkadslxp pro:mad:
BAH Posted January 29, 2002 Posted January 29, 2002 try running ZoneAlarm and see if that makes any difference, it may be a setting in Tiny PF.....

Conan Posted January 29, 2002 Posted January 29, 2002 Try activating the built-in Windows Internet Connection Firewall, run it in tandem with Sygate (I've done that before they will work together) then take the port scan test again.

Big Booger Posted February 1, 2002 Posted February 1, 2002 That is the only other suggestion I could think that would help you close your ports. I know when I set zonealarm pro to the maximum settings and use the dslreports port sniffer, it shows all ports blocked.Big Boogerso, make sure you have ZONEALARM set to maximum security.
