Fully unattended/ half unattended what am i doing wrong?

Featured Replies

hello everyone iam trying to make an Fully unattended xp cd, i entered the info in nlite, the only thing i changed was

unattended mode---fully automated

product key

user name

full name

description

and my time zone.

nothing else.

everything went fine, but did not go all the way, i still got 3 screens:

1 asking you for the computer name.

2 asking you if you want to register the product

3 if you want to take the xp tour.

is this the way it supposed to be???? my understanding was that it would go all the way until you get your desktop.

** also what is the field that determinates what name shows on top of the start menu?

thanks in advance.

u should put "Computername=*" to remove popup.1

put skipOOBE=yes and AutomaticUpdates=Yes for popup .2

and set HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\currentVersion\applet\Tour, RunCount to 0 {dword value) for popup 3

great thank you very much...that fixed it.

i really appreciated.

u should put "Computername=*" to remove popup.1

So I should actually type "Computername=JOLLYROGER" (without the quotes) to stop the popup asking for my computer name even though I wrote JOLLYROGER in the space during my nlite setup? When did this change and where do I find documentation on other little changes like this?
