kickarse Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 (edited) So after a lot of searching in the forums and with Google I've come up with, pieced from various sources and mostly rewritten, an AutoIT script that will automatically configure your wireless connection.Configures:- SSID Association- Authentication Types - Open, Shared, WPA, WPA2, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK- Encryption Types - WEP, TKIP, AES or Disabled- Key Insertions - Provided Key or Manual Insertion.Pre-Requisites:- Windows Update KB917021 v3 - Wireless Client UpdateSettings supplied by the accompanied INI file. ----If you download the app POST and let me know if it works! http://www.nerges.net/autowifi Edited November 19, 2007 by kickarse
kickarse Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 I'll post version 0.4 tomorrow which works with Windows XP Tablet...
kickarse Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 Version 0.5- Windows XP Tablet Support- PRE-REQUISITE KB917021 - Wireless Client Update
kickarse Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 Version .6 is out and should fix some other issues with the Windows Network configuration windows.
Yzöwl Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Although the files appear to extract, there is an error in doing so.This problem was also evident in the previous 0.5 version too. It's likely your compression utility or the download site which is causing this problem, what are you using to compress the archive?Could you at least provide an MD5 hash for each of the individual files within the archive! Here's what I get:AutoWIFI.v0.6.exe: 3d18d1f80d86582348141c9fc3a78476autowifi.ini: 8b27b1f4415c60020081257e72b0718d
JuMz Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Do you support 802.11x authentication with PEAP?For those looking for another solution, check out my post here:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...mp;#entry711783
kickarse Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) Should work now... I hope, ack. I haven't put PEAP support in. I could if there's enough interest. Also, I'd love to corroborate with you on the script for checking on whats installed. Edited November 19, 2007 by kickarse
Yzöwl Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 That's better, no errors this time! Here's the new MD5s:AutoWIFI.v0.6.exe: 8983fcc88cb110a1d036585bba1394b6autowifi.ini: 8b27b1f4415c60020081257e72b0718dJust goes to show that the last attempt was different.
kickarse Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 Thanks Yzowl! Do you know of a good MD5 generator?
kickarse Posted December 25, 2007 Author Posted December 25, 2007 Download site is back up.The wireless network connection must be named "Wireless Network Connection". Sometimes it's named "Local Area Connection 2", which doesn't work yet.
