ernesto Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Greetings.Need help with a little problem using nlite to make a fully unattended setup CD. I have selected the option to log in as administrator without password, and have the computer/user/company names entered. Yet setup would pause and ask for the computer name to be confirmed. What have I done wrong? Many thanks for the help.
mara- Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) You need to select Fully Automated on General page.Cheers Edited November 6, 2007 by mara-
ernesto Posted November 7, 2007 Author Posted November 7, 2007 (edited) Many thanks for your reply, mara-.But it's now asking for administrator's password. What else should I change?Best regards. Edited November 7, 2007 by ernesto
Fernando 1 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 (edited) You need to select Fully Automated on General page.mara, you should remove the picture or replace it by another one, because everyone can read the CD key of your OS.CUFernando Edited November 7, 2007 by Fernando 1
ernesto Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 Can one create a fully unattended setup cd with user name administrator and no password? Thanks.
beats Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 In WINNT.SIF add:[GuiUnattended]AdminPassword=*AutoLogon=YesAutoLogonCount=[1-99]Note the *, leaving it blank won't work. The actual number of AutoLogonCounts is up to you.
ernesto Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 Many thanks, beats. It's working now.Best regards.
snowden Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 using the default hide pages works for me, i think (ie you shouldn't have to put it to 'fully automated'?)
ernesto Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 You are right, snowden. Fully unattended setup works with UnattendMode=DefaultHide. Thanks for clarifying.Best regards.
