Tripredacus Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Greetings,I have Virtual PC 2007 and cannot figure out how to install the Virtual PC Additions/als into it. I can install the DOS ones properly if I make it boot off a boot disk. I have tried the Action -> Install or Update Virtual Machine Additions, but it does nothing, or at least does not allow me to click on the folder icon in the status bar. I have also tried running the setup from the physical CD, or by copying it to the virtual hard drive and running it but nothing happens. What I am trying to do is run Win PE in the Virtual Machine (set as XP). The image I want to put on it is a WIM file, so a standard load won't help me. What am I doing wrong? Is this a problem with the PE?
Arie Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Probably a problem with PE as with XP the above works. I don't believe that VPC2007 supports PE.
os2fan2 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 The VPC 2007 cd-rom is faulty, in that it uses lower case names. This is why it does not work under older DOS/oS2 versions.You may need to rebuild the cdrom to conform, or use the one from VPC 2004 (which is correct for DOS + OS2, but actually works!)
