nuhi Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Nothing comes to mind except that maybe one of them failed and pulled all the next in line along with it.When it integrated did it go fast through them, like 2 sec each? It should be a lot longer.Anyway gotta add a warning if a hotfix wasn't integrated.Judging from the list comparison some of them did get integrated?
JoaoVr Posted October 17, 2007 Author Posted October 17, 2007 When it integrated did it go fast through them, like 2 sec each? It should be a lot longer. They take a lot of time each.Anyway gotta add a warning if a hotfix wasn't integrated. That would be niceJudging from the list comparison some of them did get integrated?Only 5~7 hotfixes got integrated.BTW, I got that pack of Hotfixes if you want to test (I Installed my regular Vista, went to Windows Update and downloaded manualy all updates he told me to till yesterday)http://www.box.net/shared/ylb0fjca4tTy
JoaoVr Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 Oh, I found that if I use a "normal setup" (Only Hotfix Integration) it works nice.; vLite preset file[Information]Version = 1.1 beta on 2.0.50727.312 Microsoft Windows NT 6.0.6000.0Target = Windows Vista ULTIMATE 32-bit [Compatibility]ACDSee / XnViewKMPlayerPaint.NETHalo 2Aero GlassInternet ExplorerInternet Information Services[Components];# Accessories #PaintSnipping ToolWordpad;# Drivers #ModemsScanners;# Games #Inbox GamesPremium Inbox Games;# Hardware Support #SmartcardsWindows Mobile Device Center;# Multimedia #Media CenterSideShowWindows Calendar;# System #BitLocker Drive EncryptionIMAPIv2 Burning SupportWindows BackupWindows Defender[Options][Protection][Drivers][Unattended]SpecRegionalAcceptEULASkipNewUserSkipProductKeySkipAutoActivationNetworkLoc = 1ProtectPC = 2[Hotfixes]C:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB905866-v12-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB925902-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB929123-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB929399-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB929735-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB929916-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB930178-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB930857-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB931099-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB931213-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB931573-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB933360-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB933579-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB933729-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB933928-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB935280-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB935652-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB935807-v2-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB936021-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB936357-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB936782-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB936824-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB936825-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB938123-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB938127-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB938194-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB938952-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB938979-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB939159-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB939653-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB941202-x86.msuC:\Vista Hotfixes Outubro 2007\Windows6.0-KB941651-x86.msu[LanguagePacks]
nuhi Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 You can delete the pack since it's not so legal anymore to distribute hotfixes.Problem with lang packs and hotfixes is that it can fail from time to time on it's own and simple restart of the host machine helps and then it works. However if I find the time before the next release I'll try your full setup. Unless you try it before that and report that it works. In that case I will anyway make that integration reporting.Next version has even better hotfix cleanup on removals so it could prove better. For now you can simply use that only_integrated folder as your starting ground, no need to integrate every time from zero.
razormoon Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Nuhi,I've been manually adding my hotfixes as the pogram provides no feedback if hotfixes/updates inject correctly. There are logs that mention failure state. Can vlite relay those maybe?I'm a HUGE believer in your software. As far as integration goes, I inject manually or use MaxXP ware. Works completely fine as far as injection goes...Looking forward to your new build!
Legolash2o Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 after you have used vlite, close it and then re-open vlite and select the same source, it will tell if it has worked or not when u see the hotfixes page
