October 11, 200718 yr I recently installed Alky For Applications 1.0 so that I can make my Windows Vista Screensavers usable with Windows XP... at least, that's what I thought Alky For Applications comes with a nice manual... Actually, it's not worth the name manual as it doesn't explain anything?! I installed Alky For Applications on Windows XP, including all prerequisites... and then what?! I'm completely puzzled. I have my Windows Vista installation disc lying around, I already copied several SCR-files from a Windows Vista machine, but I wouldn't have a clue what to do/what I do wrong. Since the documentation is so poor and because I can't find anything on the internet regarding this, the only thing I could do really was simply right-click on one of the SCR-files and choose to patch them with Alky For Applications... but after that I've done this, the Windows Vista Screensavers don't work on Windows XP?! Getting very annoyed with this; need help! Can someone give a tutorial?
October 14, 200718 yr Author For some reason, the copied SCR-files were corrupted. Re-copied them from my Vista installation, patched them using Alky For Applications 1.0 and they all work fine now.
