October 7, 200718 yr I know its not ideal, but you could have a separate shortcut set like this"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" http://site.com
October 7, 200718 yr Author SecretNinja : " I know its not ideal, but ...... "You are very kind for replay , but it isn't what i'm looking for . Doing like this i must edit every shortcut .I need a right-click menu / open with ... , or something like this .Any advice will be very usefull .
October 7, 200718 yr it is already there for right click open with. so i dont see how you are having a problem? if the programs do not show then add it to the list.
October 7, 200718 yr Author @ ripken204 :I don't have it . If i do a right-click on a shortcut(.url) i can see only : open , print , make available offline , .... etcBut not " open with ... " . I've tried to make it but doesn't work .As i said , Firefox is the default browser and works fine ,and if i try to open it with InternetExplorer just manage the shortcutlike a common file and DOES NOT launch the address .Thanks anyway . October 7, 200718 yr This not intended to upset, but I see a few cases of this type of thing every so often. I'm not saying that it cannot be done nor am I stating that you do not have the right to do it your own way. It's just that to me it is an unnecessary waste of your time persuing a solution to something that will not be used very often.Since you have decided to use your alternative browser as the default application it seems to me that you would only need to open URLs using IE on the odd occasion. Why can you not just drag and drop that occasional URL onto the IE icon in your quick launch bar.An alternative idea may be to use the IE Tab Mozilla Extension.
October 8, 200718 yr Author @ Yzöwl : " This not intended to upset, but I see a few cases ...... "You don't . The story is that i need it , not very often but i need it . I don't Know&Understand how to do it .And i could see that they are a lot good in this place and i've asked .I haven't done something wrong : ask , be polite , wait , that's all story .Never mind , i can understand that isn't easy even for you . Just forget it .Till nest time All The Best !
October 8, 200718 yr I have an idea; there is an addon available at this page:http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=336This add-on incorporates a lot of context menu items. One in particular, "power tweaks," seems to have been custom made and changes depending on the item or area in which the context menu appears. Perhaps you could talk to them about modifying the pack or learning what tools within the add-on could be used in order to create the effect you want.I believe all of the tools used are freeware.Hope this helps!
