Why use apps - just do it Yourself.

This way also gives You more control...

Start with a fresh (gold) original cd make an admin install and slip SP3 into it.

Finnish of with a touch of ork.exe and make a custom .mst file

and have the install Your way.

My special recipe is packing everything into a rar.exe file with the right instructions

all You have to do is click the file and everything install just the way You want it.

I lend this thread a bit...

SwedenXP have you also "included" Frontpage 2003 in same package ?

Have you described somewhere how you do your install ? (I guess you do it unattended during install of OS ?)

Ps. It was really easy to slipstream SP3, like 3 or 4 rows to copy and execute, burn a new disk..no need for a "program" for that. Ds.

Agreed to that :D

I just use

F:\Office2003stuff\OFFICE\setup.exe /a pidkey=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx INSTALLLOCATION=f:\Office2003

msiexec /p f:\Office2003stuff\SP3\MAINSP3.msp /a f:\Office2003\PRO11.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb

msiexec /p f:\Office2003stuff\SP3\OWC11SP3.msp /a f:\Office2003\OWC11.MSI SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb

were in:

F:\Office2003stuff\OFFICE\ my org office 2003

f:\Office2003stuff\SP3\ my *.msp files from sp3

and in few min i get me office in:

F:\Office2003

And if you have Frontpage 2003 cd you can inject SP3 there also...

Same install part as above and then "inject" MAINSP3.msp into FP11.msi

msiexec /p f:\Office2003SP3\MAINSP3.msp /a f:\Frontpage2003\FP11.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb

@kentk - No Frontpage, just Excel, Word and Powerpoint - thats all I use.

When and how I do the install? Actually I do a nLite install of Win XP Pro, boot

and clean up a bit. Then I do an unattended install of all the rest from another hdd.

The officepart just looks like this

start /wait F:\XP\XP-Install\Office2003\Office2003sp3.exe

Which runs the winrar "exe-packed" package with the Officeinstall and commands

inside.

Hope that this clears it up!

Can you share the "comment" for the rar exe ?

Certainly, but it´s just standard...

Here´s a picture of it.

You can run the file from any hdd, cd or usb and it will install to the right place C:\Program OR c:\Program Files depending on which language Your OS runs.

SwedenXP, if I want to update Frontpage2003 can I use the office2003 SP3 package and inject that one ? (or should the SP3 only be used with Office2003 pro disc)

i managed to do it via command line and it worked nicely.

is there any way to make an AIO (all in 1 dvd) of office 2003 pro sp3, a scene group did it with SP2.

I'd like to make myself a dvd like the 1 above, current i now have the 5 .iso files as i made iso's from the new files using winiso.

hope someone could point me to a guide if there is 1.
