No harm if you want to be the geekiest person in your school - I know for a fact that I am. I'm the only one that I know of in my department who has over 1TB of storage at home. And of course... if you've got three monitors, you'll need the second video card, but you can't run them in SLI then.
Nerwin Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 2 mointors on my system, One on my other system HEHE! and I am not the geekest person at school, theres plenty more but i want mine to get the A$$ HEHE!! and HEY i do play games, I can't cause my computer is to slow and its making me mad so i am buying another 7600GT KO cause I want dubble the video. and my system will look sweet inside once its done and so i can bring it to school to show it off .
ripken204 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 (edited) omg im so sorry then. i didnt read before that you wanted to go SLI with 7600gt's. by all means then go sli, just one of those by themselves does suck as you have said. you may also want to check into selling ur current 7600gt for a fair price and upgrading to an 8800gts 320MB, just thnk about it. that way you wont have to worry about SLI compatibility issues and you will have a beast of a card.zxian-i cant wait to have over 1TB Edited September 15, 2007 by ripken204
Nerwin Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 (edited) Yeah but I dont game much, I dont really need that good of a card, this card rocks for me, I love it. I had no problems with it. Its all I need but I want two and dont worry I will be buying a sick A$$ card soon, But thease two will be awesome for right now, cause thoughs two cards will go into my server MUAHAHA!!!!! as when i build it... Ok yeah, Media server, connected to the tv.... Yeah Those 2 7600GT will be good for a TV.. I dunno. I just bought that card. and I did a test and its only running at 4X and it gives me about 2000 FPS and I can play almost any game without lag or very little.. But I might buy two of thoughs 8800GTS for the hell of it. Just cause I can.But I dont need High end video cards, just that my EVGA 7600KO runs really awesome and its High-Def.. and it looks awesome! movies look better than my tv HAHA!! but its fine for me and then maybe i will buy a 8800GTS when I buy my new case Antec p182well then tell me if this is a bad start.Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811129025CPU: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...p?EdpNo=2643933RAM: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=2531HD: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=2459 X 2 and maybe a raptor as well or something similer.Mobo: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1533thats only kinda in my thought of what I am buying.. Maybe this for Video card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=2669 Edited September 15, 2007 by computerMan
Nerwin Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 I know Those were the ones that I had in mind, I still dont know what I'm going to get for PSU thats if i even am going to build a new computer.
ripken204 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 im not too sure about the ram, it is good ram but there are many others that are better.otherwise that will be a great comp.and i have that same gfx card that you listed there. i would hold out on getting a new video card any time soon if you just got SLI. the 9800 series is rumored to be out some time around november and that would be a much better choice.
Zxian Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Most of those parts look alright... except the motherboard. I wouldn't put that much money into a MSI board considering all the other great parts you've got. If you want the SLI support, I'd suggest the ASUS P5N32-E. It's cheaper and a far better brand than MSI.
Nerwin Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 Thank you!! I never saw that mobo.. I Like Gigabyte, ABit and Asus Hey would it be alright if I buy like a part every month or every two weeks, cause I can't really order it all at once. but I can throughout.
puntoMX Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 SLI? Overhyped...Just get your self a 100-120 mobo and stuff that other 100-150 bucks in a new VGA card please and trash (sell) the one you have now .SLI is fine when a 8800GTX or a x2900XT isn’t good enough any more, so you can put that second 8800GTX or x2900XT with it...Just my one cent …
Nerwin Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 gezz people I dont need a high end video card... Atleast not right now...
ripken204 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 So why the SLI? eh, just leave him along, no need in arguing about it if he is definate on getting it.Thank you!! I never saw that mobo.. I Like Gigabyte, ABit and Asus Hey would it be alright if I buy like a part every month or every two weeks, cause I can't really order it all at once. but I can throughout.i dont see the point in doing that. why cant you? you said you had plenty of money so i'm not seeing the problem here..or is it because of where you live? i recall you mentioning that you've had alot of problems with getting things shipped to you.
