I just need to know how to make this default instead of the standard notepad ??

1. Make a text file. (by right clicking in a blank area, selecting 'New', than click on 'text document'.

2. right click on the text file, click properties. When the new window appears. type in 'c' for change -- next to the 'Open's with' bar

3. Select 'notepad2' if its under the 'recommend programs' tab. If its not there, click the browse command button and find the .exe file for notepad2.

3a) Click the button for 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file'.

3b) Click ok. Now your done.

You can do this for all types of files.

There are some addons that can replace the normal notepad with notepad2. kel's uber pack is an example of this.

Thanks for the info, I found a way, I just copied over notepad.exe because I don't want to use that
