ben100014 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Hi, I am building a new computer and I am looking for a video card made by BFG(Nvidia) that can run Direct X 10/ Flight simulator X on medium to high settings with no problems. Oh and for a really good price as well. Somewhere in the $100 range. I heard 8600GT is good? Yes? No? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. P.S. It CANNOT be SLI.
puntoMX Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 For the 100US$ range there is only one DirectX 10 card; the nVidia 8600GT. I don’t know on what resolution you are running the emulator, but this card can do 1280*1024 "okay", don’t expect more from a 100US$ card .If you want to go higher and you need DirectX 10, then go directly with a 8800GTS 320MB but those are a lot more then 100US$...If directX 9 will be good enough for you, and yes, there isn’t much difference, I would take a look on specials of the 7900GT or 1950GT/PRO, those have very good price performance ratios.
