damo12
I am using ICS on Windows XP Professional to share an internet connection for my LAN. According to the ipconfig/all command at the command prompt on the host computer, my IP address expires 2 hours after it is obtained. Is there a way to manually configure the IP address lease time with ICS?
tain
I thought that ICS leases lasted longer than that. Sounds like ICS has a configuration issue on the host machine but I have no idea how to configure DHCP leases in ICS, if it is even possible. The better route to go (not many fans of ICS around here) is to get a router. Or you can try using static IPs with ICS.Some links:Setting up ICSTroubleshooting ICSConfiguring ICS for static addressing
nitroshift
I've never come across any DHCP settings for ICS in my experience... As TAiN suggested, the best route to go is either set static IP's on both machines or get a router. And I ain't a fan of ICS either
