tubui Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Hi all.. This isn't really a huge problem but it is just annoying because I have to click F4 to continue my boot up everytime..Recently, I updated my motherboard D865GBF BIOS and then it couldn't find my harddrive, so I cleared the CMOS by taking the battery out and putting it back in.. Then everything works fine, but the menu comes where you have to press F4 to continue..It says likeFixed Harddrive:WDC, etc (shows my HD)But my harddrive is fine, its not dying, its been fine before the update and after the update. Is there anyway I can just remove the menu where it makes me press F4? I did it before on another motherboard but I forgot...
DigeratiPrime Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 there is probably an option in the bios to disable "press a key to continue on error" or something similiar.
puntoMX Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Also, only update your BIOS when it’s necessary. It’s even written everywhere before you downloaded the BIOS image. You could also go back to the old BIOS.Did you saved the "old" BIOS image? If not next time do so, makes your life easier .
nmX.Memnoch Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 When he cleared the CMOS it cleared any custom settings. The boot order is probably jacked up or an option to bypass the "Press F4" prompt probably get reversed.
tain Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Disable a setting that is something to the effect on "Halt on errors."
