Miretank Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Hey nuhi, thanks for the fix.I'd just like to add that is not only a KB938194/KB938979 issue. I have tried the "sp1 package" (which reaches around the KB9341xx fixes) and installed all those updates. After the reboot, renaming didn't work.
Koko_Kristoff Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 (edited) Thanks Nuhi. I have just run the regfie for my 32bit WinVista Ultimate and I could rename folders again right on the minute Edited August 30, 2007 by Koko_Kristoff
jonkvh Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 marc2003, wait a second, it fixed your rename issue or just the reg import worked but it's still the same?(just playing safe before celebrating)rezzo, here.nubi, that reg file worked a treat, cheers.
ozon Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Many Thanks!!I am a Vista ultimate user and had this problem aswell (no Vlite). After applying the patch it let's me rename move and create my folders again. Thanks again!
Jeronimo Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Partly works for Vista x64. Renaming new folders is resolved. Renaming a "specific" existing folder or even moving them fails even after taking ownership and correcting rights:INGEBOUWD\Administrators:FINGEBOUWD\Administrators:(OI)(CI)(IO)FNT AUTHORITY\SYSTEEM:FNT AUTHORITY\SYSTEEM:(OI)(CI)(IO)FINGEBOUWD\Gebruikers:(OI)(CI)FNT AUTHORITY\Geverifieerde gebruikers:(OI)(CI)F
keyan314 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 nuhi you are awesome! Weird thing was I could still manipulate folders through the command prompt but not the gui. Thanks for tearing into this obscure issue!
stijnderd Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 marc2003, wait a second, it fixed your rename issue or just the reg import worked but it's still the same?(just playing safe before celebrating)rezzo, here. Thanks for the fix. I was afraid my windows needed a reformat.
Seldaek Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 (edited) Aye, many thanks indeed, it was starting to get very uncomfortable to use. What is weird though is that I didn't install that beta compatibility fix thingy. Edited September 6, 2007 by Seldaek
