How to make SATA drivers as .inf?

Recommended Posts

I have searched everywhere and I just can't find my solution.

I have a gigabyte mobo, and I have the gigabyte SATA RAID drivers downloaded. They are as .exe

How do I intergrate the gigabyte drivers using nlite?

Double-driver will extract them from an installed machine, or at least get's about 98% of what you need, it misses some files of some drivers.

I developed one that is here to do the same thing http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...st&p=568879 I'm still rewriting it but this version gets a slightly cleaner collection of what you need, but they still have to be installed.

What happens when you run the EXE does it launch a setup program or extract them to a folder on the drive?

Can you post the url to the file you downloaded then we might be able to tell you exactly what you need to do.

Your program looks very good, but it wont work in Finnish Windows XP. I would like to test the new version if possible. I also put the error message on the Driver Backup thread, but I got no answers.

They are extracting themselfs.

The link for the drivers: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Mother...?ProductID=2543

Click drivers.

Edit: Ok it seems that the big 13m file is different and contains other stuff than the 2 small files for SATA. After extracting the small one I could get the necessary files. Any idea what the big file might be used for?
