Camarade_Tux
Hi,I juste made a new system and right now I'm testing it under vmware.About IE7 integration on XP, HFSLIP website states:Known issue with this method: PNG alpha transparency is broken like with previous versions of Internet Explorer. My avatar contains a transparent channel and it is correctly displayed. And in my previous system (back in January 07), I also have transparent png.Just to report it. PS: how can some people live with and enjoy 800x600 resolutions? HFSLIP.7z Edited July 3, 2007 by Camarade_Tux
Tomcat76
The HFSLIP web site states that for the slipstreaming of IE7. Did you specify IE7SLIPSTREAM=1 in HFANSWER.INI?
Camarade_Tux
Yup. edit: I run nlite after hfslip so it may do something.I'll probably try without nlite on tomorrow. Edited July 3, 2007 by Camarade_Tux
Glowy
I don't use nLite, and png transparency doesn't work for me, your avatar, as wel as the indicator if someone is on/offline have a white background
Camarade_Tux
I triple-checked and I don't have anything in SVCPACK.However, I have quite a lot of apps I install with WIHU but most of them are .7z so they can not be responsible for that. In fact, there could onley be .Net framework. And btw, all updates successfully integrated using 1.5.0.
Camarade_Tux
If I don't use nlite, my install gets stuck at T-9; setup.exe doesn't react anymore. I can't remember if I made a second iso so I'll make another one anyway.
grunz
i can confirm that the slipstreamed ie7 works including png-transparency. i will double check it again as soon as i recreate my install sources and install another test computer tonight.cheers, grunz
Camarade_Tux
This makes me think I have an OEM CD somewhere which shouldn't freeze at T-9.
Glowy
during testing with the newest test release i noticed sometimes I also had transparency working. After further testing I noticed that a run without deleting CAT files (DELCATS=) had working transparency. Camarade_Tux
It's pretty weird because I delete them. Maybe nlite does something on this side.
geezery
Can you provide a log of the files you are integrating i.e. C:\HFSLIP\dir /B /S > files.txtI have some problems adding the fixes in right folders. Thanks in advance.EDIT: Found the needed info from your log file. Thanks. Edited July 25, 2007 by geezery
geezery
I'll just made my first HFSLIP Installation CD with the latest HFSLIP and I also integrated IE7 with the IE7SLIPSTREAM = 1 in my HFANSWER file. The png's are working.

I can't remember if I made a second iso so I'll make another one anyway.Seems it was not my source fault.A hotfix or vmware. Not a hotfix so no problem on hfslip's side. Anyway, I'll simply put a png image on the CD and run IE even though setup has not completed.
Camarade_Tux
I tried at T-10 with a black background and transparency did not work. However it is clear png transparency with ie7slipstrem is possible so we should investigate further.
