Jeremy Posted June 30, 2007 Share Posted June 30, 2007 "The application failed to initialize because windows is shutting down."Third party software; firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, monitoring software, anything.Easiest way is to disable all your start-up entries and re-enable one at a time to determine which one is causing the problem.
