zedox Posted July 4, 2007 Author Posted July 4, 2007 Been working very hard guys and theres some big improvements coming in the next release including support for Windows Defender! How's everyone finding the current release? Want to quash out any problems or dodgy bitmaps
Kelsenellenelvian Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Can you please make it patch theses resources in shell32.dll during iso modification?? .bmp 14351 trough 14356? XPize has missed this for awhile I personally thik it should be a must since they are the logoff\switch user graphics.
zedox Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 This has been sorted, will also be fixed in the next release of XPize i believe.
fillip Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 (edited) first, great shellpack, i love it!and second, some time ago I was bored and played around with another wallpaper to fit it into my usual style, and this came out:it's dark, it's green and it hints to microsofts spy-game or any other big brother wannabe. it's disturbing. what do you think? tap52384 Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 What about the small icons used for Disk Cleanup? Are those fixed as well? I love XPize Darkside by the way.
gustavovanni Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 (edited) Hey zedox.....I sent a PM to you telling about the bitmaps on logonui.exe, remember?I'm posting here this 7zip file with the 4 bitmaps I've changed for you to take a look at itlogonui.7zAnd about the wallpaper you're looking for, here is what i'm using nowAlienwareInvaderDark.7z Edited July 14, 2007 by gustavovanni
zedox Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Sorry gustavovanni,I've updated the logonui bitmaps already, and have chosen to use someone elses wallpaper!thanks for your input anyways!
mika2salo Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Hi ZedoxI have to say that I love your work. I have always been using Luna noir or some other dark theme and dark wallpapers but your project is a step far beyond it!Since your asked to tell if we notice something left that doesn't fit, here is a small list:Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards Frames are still blueAutomatic Updates "Help protect your PC" label is still blue, would look better as dark I thinkWindows firewall labels from blue to darkNvidia nView Desktop Manager from green to dark?Nvidia controlpanels labels from white to dark? You have been incredibly accurate with your work and it's really hard to find anything left.Your new icons and logon screens are really impressive.Keep up the good work!
gustavovanni Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Sorry gustavovanni,I've updated the logonui bitmaps already, and have chosen to use someone elses wallpaper!thanks for your input anyways!no problem man I can't wait to see how great next version will be.......
onineko Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Here's the wallpaper I use all the time with Darkside. It's a light, but keeps with the grey scheme.Original file is 1600x1200 242KB http://onineko.com/images/wallpaper/1158300865468.jpgIt does say Copyright 2003 Siron. http://dork.cx, but I can't find that site or Siron.Glad 2.0 beta is out.
tap52384 Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Does the current download include the updated bitmaps for logonui.exe?
zedox Posted July 19, 2007 Author Posted July 19, 2007 @tap52834No, updated resources for the logonui will be in the next release.
CLHatch Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 (edited) http://bleddyn.co.uk/forums/msfn/black7zicons.7zmy 7zip icons if you want to patch %programfiles%\7-Zip\7z.dlli've got the bat file for it somewhere (for use with reshacker)-they look pretty slick when mixed with the yellow explorer icons, makes compressed files stand out a bit more I'd like to add my vote for adding these in to the next release, and KEEPING the folder icons yellow. I never did like how REAL folders and "compressed folders" (excuse me, they are FILES, guys!) looked so much alike. I can see how this would make them stand out more.Edit:Just had a thought... don't know how difficult this would be, but perhaps an option (along with command-line switch) could be added to select the yellow or dark for these? Wouldn't do much good for those slipstreaming with nLite or AutoImage, though. Edited July 24, 2007 by CLHatch
zedox Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 @ CLHatch & BleddI have created a poll, and would be very greatful for everyone to vote so I can see whether it should be added...
