Ok, I have recently jumped to Windows Xp and can't seem to find any drivers for my laptop: HP G60-244DX. The specs are: Laptop Information I have only managed to find the display drivers. Im still wondering how would i go about finding drivers for my sound, internet for now. Other would be good but the sound and internet driver is something i need very soon. I have looked around the web and can only find other device driver information. So im stuck and im here asking for assistance. Im just hoping if someone here knows where i can get drivers for my HP G60-244DX. Cheers

Hi Recently i got a laptop off ebay. The laptop came with 3GB installed Ram. Im thinking of upgrading my laptop. This morning i opened up the laptop and found two sets of RAM being slotted into the small gap. Once i took both of them out, these were what it had written on them: Ram One: M470T5663QZ3-CF7 0914 2GB 2Rx8 PC2-6400S-666-12-E3 Ram Two: M470T2864QZ3-CE6 0914 1GB 2Rx16 PC2-5300S-555-12-A3 I know there is a difference between them but im sure it's correct from what i read. Im looking to upgrade to 4gb, so i will get rid of the 1GB and replace with 2GB. Im looking to buy it from ebay. Hey Just got my licence today for 1 year kaspersky (supporting the developers) Currently its on default setting, but im wondering what is the most common settings that people use on kaspersky to keep themself safe? How would i rephrase this.. hmm what settings would likely to keep safest?? I have only kaspersky 736 (latest build) installed on win 7 OS if it matters, i have a laptop with the following specs 2.0 ghz amd dual core CPU 250 gb 3gb ram thanks in advance

I don't have the windows 7 bios updates for this laptop. does anyone know where i could get one from? and how to update the bios also? second thing is, im not sure if the fan needs replacing only, because when i restart the laptop the fan works perfectly. So im hoping someone knows how i can update my bios (win 7 version)

Hi Recently my sisters Compaq c710TU (C700 Presario) CD Rom drive stopped working. During this period, i wanted to install windows 7 RC on to her laptop . Using this method described on this website Raymond.CC I used the manual method (the second method: automatic didn't work for me). After i managed to install Win 7 RC on to the USB hard drive, i tried to boot up the laptop and i got some sort of ntrl boot error. After this happened, i set the boot order back to default (changed the booting sequence, so i could boot from USB). Once i tried to restart the computer, the laptop boots up the where windows XP boot screen is displaying then it shows a blue BSOD for 1 sec then it restarts. This continues for ever. I just had to turn off the laptop and call it quits. If i can't fix it, i will end of paying the repair bill If someone could assist me in getting her laptop to boot again fully, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Hey I have a ASUS PRO80H Laptop that i bought second hand (to slow down globalization ) but after 3 months of using it, i just realized that the laptop actually overheats. This is how it overheats: When the laptop is booted from cold, after 30-45 mins usage, the underneath part of the laptop starts to get hot or hotter. After that, it will just turn off all suddenly and bottom of the laptop is actually really really hot. Once it cools down a little, and you turn on the laptop then the fan kicks in and cools it right down and works well after that, but my problem seems to be that on cold boot the fan doesn't turn on at all during the first boot (first time booting cold). Is there anything i can do?? It's a really nice laptop but this is the only issue im having on it. Currently, i have just been using it 30 mins, and restarting the laptop. It works well but i wanna know if there is a way to turn on the laptop during the first cold boot?? Just happens on the first time you boot the laptop (cold boot) but after that it works perfectly .. I am wanting to reset the taskbar size via registry. I am not looking for how to lock/unlock the taskbar (I know that already), most searches on this returns how to lock/unlock. I am needing the entry (how to do it from registry) that will sets the taskbar at 1TB high, 2TB high, 3TB high etc. cheers (friend messed up my registry by adding weird tweaks and i can't seem to resize it to normal size)

Ok i have just reinstalled windows xp on my laptop, and i remember having the same problem on my desktop long time ago. After using NOD32 i thought about trying a new av... kaspersky internet security. So i paid my fees and so forth and basically got it up and running. Now my problem starts. I have a rapidshare account and i sometimes like to test and download things. The problem occurs when i try to download from rapidshare (i have even put it on sitelogin in Internet download manager) using my internet download manager. if i try to download it will keep saying Send GET.... and won't move. When i try to turn off my kaspersky and download it works perfectly (automatic download from download manager feature). Ok since i found it was kaspersky not being set up properly i dug around and found how to enable it for download manger (firewall, setting so forth, template and clicked on download manager saying hey its a download manager) hwoever i get the same thing Send GET.... in my download manager. Second time i put it as "allow all" hopefully meaning hey let internet download manager so what ever it wants and don't p*** with it, however i get the same results. If i completely close kaspersky internet secruity it starts working like a gem but its not working with kaspersky on... any have any issue like this before.. any help would do cheers

ok bit confused here (never used sata drivers :-) I went into bios setup and onlything about sata is under system configuration options are Language <english> SATA Native Support <enable> >Boot Options When i go into boot options it has: f9 and f10 dalay (sec) <0> CD ROm Boot <Enable> Floppy Boot <disable> PXE Boot to LAN <disable> >Boot Order so what would i need to do in this circumstance? sorry for noobish question

Hey all :-) ok here is a problem that is giving me a headache. I recently purchased an older laptop from a store (was cheap and good enough for studies) and it had a built in vista basic on it. After using vista for little while i have made up my mind that its not for me anytime soon, anyways i was wanting to install xp on my laptop. I have vista basic backed up on the laptop (partition) and also manage to find an old xp pro cd that was hiding away ( ), ok i started up to see if it would atleast go through the installation so i could atleast delete the p[artition to make utilize the space more. I chucked in the cd and fired my laptop and it started to load... it goes through the menu and so on and finally gets to the Welcome to setup menu 3 things to choose from... enter to continue or r=repair or f3 to quit.. i press enter (duh) please wait.... now the whole agreement (too long to read), and now i press f8 (i am actually doing it while i type this ok here is the problem now i am in the Windows Xp prodessional setup page except where it suppose to show me my harddrive it says: Unknown Disk <there is no disk in this drive.> and the only options i have it enter=install, d = delete partition and f3 to quit... ok i already know what enter does so this time i press d to delele partition... and it says... Setup is unable to perform the requested operation on the selected partition. This partition contains temporary setup files that are required to complete the installtion to continue press enter so now i press enter and i am back again the same screen telling me unknown disk.. and now if i press enter i get this :-) The proble has been detected and windopws has been shut down to prevent damage to you computer. The problem seems to be caused by the following files: setupdd.sys Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. IF this screen appears again, follo these steps: Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. k i have 2 computers, i am currently trying vista on both computers but only one thing is letting me down... the drivers for vista. I haven't used vista on my old computer yet (parents use it, and would only upgrade if i had the exact drivers for it). i am not sure but wasn't geforce 6 drivers used to work on geforce 4? erm.. let me explain with this : http://www.nvidia.com/object/81.85_winxp_32_supported.html (sorry linking wasn't working). my question is can i use my geforce 6 drivers (for vista) on the GeForce4 (GeForce4 MX Integrated graphics) on vista, i would test it but i will have around 4 people nagging me for wrecking their computers.

hey mate only problem is that there is only 1 operating system on the menu that says current OS, there is no other ones to delete... if there were other OS i would delete it but, only one and i can't delete that (also won't let me).

ok i usually update all my drivers up to date once in 6 months (give or take), i seem to have the latest version of lan+video drivers for my mother board but i can't seem to find for my sound card (on board), this would be my mother board: http://www.asus.co.nz/products.aspx?l1=3&a...amp;modelmenu=2. I know its soundmax as they are the only ones who have ADI AD1986A High Difinition Audio 5.1channel CODEC Support Jack-Sensing and S/PDIF out interface, but i just can't seem to find the version for vista... any help? thank you again
