two points regarding win2k 1. qfecheck (Q282784) doesn't seem to be supported. I put the patch in the HF and it didn't get installed. 2. XP icons for Win2K didn't install in the original form (xpicons_silentv2.ex_) whether I used the HFSVCPACK or the HFSVCPACK_SW folder. I eventually renamed the file to xpicons_silentv2.exe and it worked just fine from HFSVCPACK. I believe (although not 100% sure) that it worked quite alright as .ex_ in a previous build of HFSLIP via the HFSVCPACK folder (tho I'm unsure which build it was)

you don't need this file at all. just get the regular drivers specific to your OS, extract them from the .ZIP file and add them via the Drivers option in NLite. Windows XP (32-bit) Windows XP and 2003 (64-bit) Windows 2000

KB929399 is for WMP11 SDK, do regular users even need it ? I checked and the file that it's supposed to update, i.e., MSSCP.DLL wasn't present on my system (both IE7 and WMP11 installed)

well i didn't try the thing in an unattended installation but I did run the executable in a VM and it installed fine. By the way, this is all based on the understanding that your Windows and Program Files folder are all located on the C Drive

if you'll download this .CAB file linked from this page and put it in HFCABS, HFSLIP should do everything else automatically

Would u be motivated to do it if there were ? What i have in mind is you guys get in touch with one of the switchless addon makers, like for example roguespear or somebody/whoever makes the switchless addons on ryan's site. my guess is those guys might know what steps are involved in the installation and in what order. What do you think ? Worth a try at least ?

I tried this some time ago but gave up on it because I was starting to go insane, haha.Copying files is not an issue; it's more what goes in the registry and what commands should be run post-installation. maybe you could start with something like roguespear's switchless installer rather than the stock one and see how things go from there

hi tomcat and tommyp, i was wondering since you've managed to slipstream the .net patch as well (KB887998) couldn't you somehow magically also try and slipstream .net 1.1 and 2.0 themselves into the windows source as well ? it would save a hell of a lot of time during the installation at T-13...

i'm curious about KB917344 not being needed with IE7. since the old scripting files don't get deleted after slipstreaming IE7 (i checked) and unless they are internally disabled in some mysterious way, don't they exist in unpatched/vulnerable form just waiting to be exploited online if you remove the patch as well?

hi, anyone wanna give these two addons a shot ? these two include stock SPTD v1.42 installer, not Shark007's as he's discontinued making it, otherwise they install the same way. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to try them out personally. One minor change is as follows. It seems daemon tools by itself doesn't appear in add/remove programs. the code to add it to add/remove programs has been added and supplied in its entirety by weed so thanks goes to him.
