hi, i used darkside yesterday for the very first time and absolutely loved it. but one minor issue. how does one integrate it with hfslip the same way that xpize can be ? i tried it but it just didn't end up with the same look as if i had installed it manually post setup. xpize works with hfslip just fine. is this an hfslip issue or darkside one ?

what he's trying to say is there are two different versions of that particular hotfix. the one with windowsxp in the filename (WindowsXP-KB929969-x86-ENU.exe) is only for windows xp service pack 2 with the built in internet explorer 6 sp2. so u need to add that particular patch if you're gonna stay with IE6 and not slipstream IE7 the other patch has IE7 in the filename (IE7-KB929969-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe) so it's obviously required (and not the one above) if you're gonna be slipstreaming internet explorer 7 as well. if you go with the first scenario, i.e., keep the default IE6 then u will need to add that specific hotfix. but later on if you decide to install IE7 (after windows is installed), you will need to patch it again with the IE7 specific hotfix hope this helps (rather than causing even more confusion)

hi, there were a couple of SFU (Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX) hotfixes floating around and obviously they're intended for the server versions (Win2K and Win2K3) but does/would HFSLIP support their integration/slipstreaming ? I ask because their naming convention is slightly different from regular Win2K or XPSP2 hotfixes: SFU35-KB902074-X86-ENU.exe SFU35-KB921207-X86-ENU.exe

tomcat, regarding these people not being able to access hfslip, how about we mirror hfslip releases/test versions on my eslips and box.net account. i'd like to be of help. otherwise you could make your own accounts and upload there (as mirrors in addition to hfslip.org)

UberIcon 1.0.3 build 58 ÜberIcon creates a more customizable atmosphere on your desktop by extending Windows to perform new effects when you launch your icons and folders. The effects are plugin-based to give you control over the look and feel. The name translates to "OverIcon" which will begin to make sense from the moment you see your first icon fly towards you. by the way, maybe you should add to the changelog that MBSA offline GUI mode (or MBSA GUI offline mode) is now available (it had always worked with RyanVM packs but never before with hfslip until these last few updates)

****! wasn't thinking. feel free to change it to a positive word. Note to self: increase amount of sleep hours
-
one big bonus for me (although some would call it cosmetic) is that now I can run MBSA offline in GUI mode. previously I had to use the command prompt executable (MBSACLI.EXE) to get it to run in offline mode and show which updates were installed and which were missing. excellent work Edit: there, changed it myself

Internet Download Manager v5.14 Build 5 [Released: September 15, 2008] [30-day trial] Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds by up to 5 times, resume and schedule downloads. Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use. Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance. Internet Download Manager supports proxy servers, ftp and http protocols, firewalls, redirects, cookies, authorization, MP3 audio and MPEG video content processing. IDM integrates seamlessly into Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, MSN Explorer, AOL, Opera, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Firebird, Avant Browser, MyIE2, and all other popular browsers to automatically handle your downloads. You can also drag and drop files, or use Internet Download Manager from command line. Internet Download Manager can dial your modem at the set time, download the files you want, then hang up or even shut down your computer when it's done. Other features include multilingual support, zip preview, download categories, scheduler pro, sounds on different events, HTTPS support, queue processor, html help and tutorial, enhanced virus protection on download completion, progressive downloading with quotas (useful for connections that use some kind of fair access policy or FAP like Direcway, Direct PC, Hughes, etc.), built-in download accelerator, and many others. i just installed vista on a vm, tried out za v7.1.078. do you have that annoying thing turned on ? that which is called UAC ? cuz that pops up for confirmation even during a silent install
-
I will be more than Happy to test it for you! Right now at work, I am running Vista Business Edition and I also have access to Enterprise Edition (although I doubt it will matter which Edition I am testing on). then is it okay if i work on it over the weekend ? i can have it ready then. or do you need it asap ?
-
what's with you and the allcaps ? i don't need feedback of any kind for XP addons. All those are tested. I only requested feedback for the Vista version. also, regarding your addon, lemme know which one u want and i'll work on it over the weekend

[Release] Google Picasa v2.7 (Build 37.64)
johndoe74 replied to johndoe74's topic in Application Add-Ons
Thanks for the app. However, I'm running into this same issue with version 2.7.0 b36.40. Picasa opens during the install and shows the "Picasa 2: Initial Picture Scan" window. I can either click the boxes and close the window or let the XP install complete/reboot which closes the Picasa windows. Any chance this can be updated to bypass the window opening? In case it matters, I'm using the "Hide Windows" mode for the Unattended Mode in NLite. Thanks again thats weird. kiki didn't have a problem but u guys did. I'll make the addon again and i'll post it here. EDIT: Updated addon. Please try and provide feedback. Thanks! -
this is the windows xp version. i don't have the vista compatible version but i can download it and make an addon for you if you promise to test it and provide feedback since i can't be bothered with installing vista just to test this addon. reply here please or PM me. thanks
